THE REAPER

One man’s gun

The cross hair steadies,
All are readily posed,
The hostage moves around the room the taker hidden well,

The bullet slows but it’s too late as it knocks him from his feet,
The police move in and look at him his temple blown open wide,

VELVET FEET

The door slides open and in the shadows the assassin stands as it watches its prey emerge,
The lord he moves and staggers past from side to side he swings,
But as he falls to one knee he draws his last breath,
Another slight of hand and shimmer of light as the blade changes sides,
The warm rouge slowly runs from the slit that grows with speed,
The light drains from the lords eyes and grasps at his throat as he cries,
The assassin wipes a tear from his eye and steps to him whilst he shakes with fear,
The assassin speaks in her sweet soft voice the words burn the lord to his core with ease,
My lord I’ve come to tell you now that you will no longer enslave anyone or mistreat them as you did me,
She turns and leaves as silently as she arrived torches pass her bye,
Guards scream and slaves rejoice as the beast has finally died.

THE RAIN

I was standing in the rain one day
Realizing what every drop meant
One fell on my chin and reminded me of my lover
