Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Lord Alister Quill. You will forgive me if I am not as apt with this century's technology; I'm still learning, you see, and I pray for your patience as I adapt.

I was born... My goodness, how long ago now? Somewhere between the liberation of the Colonies and the destruction of the French Monarchy. A splendid time, if you'd ever care for a yarn. While I am English bred, I found myself on the other side of the world with the advent of faster transportation. Why, what used to take months in my youth is now a mere matter of hours!

I find myself to be the romantic type, even when I had the heart of a man. There is no more tantalizing game than that of a dance of courtship, of which, if I may be so bold, I have memorized every step. There is no greater crime than that of an unsatisfied lover. Be it a lack of affection, attention, or devotion.

As for my nightly life, I had hoped that the humans had done away with this blasted plague by now. Centuries of singing the same song and they never seem to get the swing of things, do they? While normally I would be content to wait, I feel that this new age of technology has made me rather impatient to fill my social calendar. And so I hope that this... collection of nightwalkers such as myself could provide some semblance of comradery.
