EMPATH:
Empaths have the ability to scan another's psyche for thoughts and feelings or for past, present, and future life occurrences. Many empaths are unaware of how this actually works, and have long accepted that they were sensitive to others.
Empaths are highly sensitive, finely tuned instruments when it comes to emotions. They feel everything, sometimes to an extreme, and are less apt to intellectualize feelings. Intuition is the filter through which they experience the world. Empaths are naturally giving, spiritually attuned, and good listeners. If you want heart, empaths have got it. Through thick and thin, they’re there for you, world-class nurturers.
When empaths absorb the impact of stressful emotions, it can trigger panic attacks, depression, food, sex and drug binges, and a plethora of physical symptoms that defy traditional medical diagnosis from fatigue to agorophobia. If empaths are around peace and love, their bodies assimilate these and flourish. Negativity, though, often feels assaultive, exhausting. Thus, they’re particularly easy marks for emotional vampires, whose fear or rage can ravage empaths. As a subconscious defense, they may gain weight as a buffer. When thin, they’re more vulnerable to negativity. Empathy is a feeling of another's true emotions to a point where an empath can relate to that person by sensing true feelings that run deeper than those portrayed on the surface. People commonly put on a show of expression. This is a learned trait of hiding authentic expression in an increasingly demanding society.
An empath can sense the truth behind the cover and will act compassionately to help that person express him/herself, thus making them feel at ease and not so desperately alone.
Empaths experience empathy towards family, children, friends, close associates, complete strangers, pets, plants and inanimate objects. Empathy is not held by time or space. Thus, an empath can feel the emotions of people and things at a distance. Some are empathic towards animals (ie: The Horse Whisperer), to nature, to the planetary system, to mechanical devices or to buildings etc. Others will have a combination of the above.
Empaths Have Deep Sense of Knowing
Empaths are highly sensitive. This is the term commonly used in describing one's abilities (sensitivity) to another's emotions and feelings. Empaths have a deep sense of knowing that accompanies empathy and are often compassionate, considerate, and understanding of others.
There are also varying levels of strength in empaths which may be related to the individualís awareness of self, understanding of the powers of empathy, and/or the acceptance or non-acceptance of empathy by those associated with them, including family and peers. Generally, those who are empathic grow up with these tendencies and do not learn about them until later in life.
Empathy is Inherited
Empathy is genetic, inherent in our DNA, and passed from generation to generation. It is studied both by traditional science and alternative healing practitioners.
Empathy has both biological/genetic and spiritual aspects.
Empaths often possess the ability to sense others on many different levels. From their position in observing what another is saying, feeling and thinking, they come to understand another. They can become very proficient at reading another personís body language and/or study intently the eye movements. While this in itself is not empathy, it is a side-shoot that comes from being observant of others. In a sense, empaths have a complete communication package.
How Empathy Works
While there is much we don't yet understand about how empathy works, we do have some information. Everything has an energetic vibration or frequency and an empath is able to sense these vibrations and recognize even the subtlest changes undetectable to the naked eye or the five senses.
Words of expression hold an energetic pattern that originates from the speaker. They have a specific meaning particular to the speaker. Behind that expression is a power or force-field, better known as energy. For example, hate often brings about an intense feeling that immediately accompanies the word. The word hate becomes strengthened with the speaker's feeling. It is that person's feelings (energy) that are picked up by empaths, whether the words are spoken, thought or just felt without verbal or bodily expression.

PSI:
A psychic vampire is a person or being who feeds off the life force of other living creatures. Psychic vampires are represented in the occult beliefs of various cultures. A psi vampire is a person or thing that lacks the ability to keep or maintain his, her, or it's own energy due to a leak in their astral or soul form. Because of this leak, they lose their energy as a faster rate than a person or thing that doesn't have a leak.
since energy is what people use to move and do their daily activities, if there isn't enough, you tend to get tired. You start to feel run down. You can't do things you normally do. Eventually, lack of energy can make one depressed. Sometimes, if this goes on for long periods of time, one can become extremely ill, and possibly die. Energy is what all living life is made up from. Without it, nothing can survive
A psychic vampire, also commonly referred to as an energy or psionic vampire, is a person with the ability to "feed" off of the psychic energy or life force of other humans or animals. The theory is that these people absorb the life force or qi (pronounced ch'i) of others in order to gain energy for themselves.
MEDIUM:
Mediums are people who have a special gift that allows the spirit people to give mesages from the afterlife. The objective of a mediums work is to prove survival of the human personality after death and to help the bereaved come to terms with their loss. Sittings with mediums are not for fortune telling but are experimental sessions to provide evidence of survival. Any attempt to communicate with Spirit is, by its very nature, purely experimental and therefore, results can never be guaranteed
Mediums identify three forms of mental mediumship:
1. CLAIRVOYANCE when mediums see the spirit
2. CLAIRAUDIENCE when mediums hear the spirit
3. CLAIRSENTIENCE when mediums senses the presence and the thoughts of the spirit.
Spiritual mediums are merely people who attune themselves to the spiritual world. Members of the spiritual world can speak to and communicate with family members or friends who live in the physical world through mediums. A medium cannot choose when, where or how they are contacted, because they are not able to contact the spiritual world; the members of the spiritual world choose them.
What is the purpose of this? By contacting family members or friends who are "left behind" through the Medium, spirits can help the living develop closure. Sometimes spirits use mediums to warn living people of things or advise them. There are three ways in which spirits contact Psychic Mediums: Clairvoyance, clairaudience, and clairsentience.
Clairvoyance is "clearly seeing." This can be seeing memories from a member of the spiritual world, or seeing images of things to happen in the future. It is a visual means of contact from the spirit that is sometimes used to validate or identify the spirit for the living. It is also used to warn the living of future events or prepare them for future events. Rarely does a spirit ever objectively form in front of the medium's eyes (although it has been known to happen this way).
Clairaudience is "clearly hearing." Sometimes Psychic Mediums can hear the spirits speaking to them. By relaying this message to the client, the psychic medium can help give the living person advice, warnings or a loving sentiment.
Clairsentience is "clearly sensing." This is when the medium is either lead to feel a certain way or sense energy from the spirit world. In some cases, spirits come to harm or cause trouble in the material world. If this is the case, a medium can usually feel that and choose to not open that door of communication. The spirit can actually change the atmosphere of the room for the medium, including physical sensations of heat or coolness.
