How do I describe that which cannot be imagined?
Is it the taboo that will always be out of reach?
The thing for which we always strive but yet escapes the moment it is upon us, thus continuing the cycle.
Continuing forever.
Like me. Immortal.
The 13th sign of the horoscope is Ophiuchus.
The snake bearer.
This sign stayed hidden for much of history, never seeking glory or discussed by astrologers due to the Sun only passing through Ophiuchus for 19 days out of the year.
Like all that is aware of their divine beauty, it did not seek attention, but only to play a vital role in the gloriously resplendent 26,000 year axial precession of the Earth.
Ophiuchus is the only constellation patterned after a real man, Imhotep, the Egyptian that brought healing to mankind.
Imhotep is also thought to be the immortal Sumerian God Enki transformed and reborn new.
13 is man immortal.
According to Pythagoras, the science of numbers is the basis for all things, and 13 is the most enigmatic number of them all.
13 is the number of transformation.
13 was revered by tribal cultures as the number of months in a lunar year and represented immortality.
This represented both death and rebirth at the same time because the 13th moon closed one year and then opened another.
13 is seen representing the immortal yet again in the story of the Egyptian God Osiris who was murdered by his brother Set.
Isis collected the body intent on restoring him back to life; however, Set had cut it into fourteen pieces and scattered them about the Earth.
Although Isis could only reclaim thirteen of the fourteen body parts, she did manage to restore Osiris to vitality.
Osiris was reborn but missing his penis because it had been eaten by a school of fish.
Isis had a phallus fashioned for him from gold and this act is immortalized in phallus worship and symbolized in the obelisk.
The Western chromatic musical scale is composed of 13 tones with the 1st and 13th being same tone, or octave.
This creates a cycle that continues into infinity like an unbroken golden chain.
13 will forever be associated with the immortal and forbidden.
13 is that thing for which we all long but yet we cannot have.
I am 13.
13 is me.
I am forever transforming through a portrait while living an immortal life of forbidden pleasure.
It is good to be me.

Welcome to my corner of Vampire Rave.
My name is Dorian Gray and I am immortal.
Although I am not vampire, very little separates the two of us.
The only difference is that I do not need to take from another in order to remain forever beautiful and ageless.
It might seem that I have been given the better end of the deal.
My life story was immortalized by Oscar Wilde in his highly titillating novel The Picture of Dorian Gray.
He was fair to me and a true gentleman, so gentle.
I thanked him for his integrity as he desperately tried to stay as true to my story as possible.
In an act of kindness & mercy, his book ended in my death; but yet in truth, I continue to live.
I am unending, like the 13th moon that starts and ends each lunar year.
My road to immortality began with the painter Basil Hallward.
Upon introduction, he became infatuated by my beauty, and enthralled, I became his muse.
Soon after meeting Lord Henry Wotton, I realized that beauty and sensual fulfillment were the only things worth pursuing in life.
Through an act of sorcery, I sold my soul to Lucifer in a Faustian deal so as to remain immortal.
Although I do not age, all of my Earthly transgressions are transformed onto my portrait.
Only the portrait ages. I do not.
By selling my soul I was able to allow myself the pursuit of a libertine life with varied and amoral experiences, all while my portrait ages and records every soul-corrupting sin.
And I stay pristine and ageless.
My only goal in this existence is to live a life of worldly pleasure.
But yet I must admit, I am becoming a tad bored with it all.
The pleasure of immortality certainly lasts a long time...
One finds that sorrow and pain are easily forgotten and pleasure can become rather dull if it were not for novelty.
While this life of immortality might seem difficult to pass up, the reality is much different than what you might romanticize.
I have long grown cold and indifferent to others as I have watched all those that I have loved die.
I no longer even feel what it is like to desire, save for wanting to know what it is like to truly desire something.
I do long for love, but I have grown bored dealing with the mortality of others.
My narcissistic nature would never allow me to be betrothed to another.
And while you might see my life as charmed, I feel cursed, but I do look so very beautiful for such a cursed being.
Can you tame me?
