Some strive to be perfect, although it is impossible. Why do we burden ourselves with this impossibility? We are setting ourselves up for failure from the beginning with this definition of perfection. Instead, we should be striving to be the best that we can be. Humanity needs to stop comparing themselves to others and vice versa.
If It is unfair to compare a fish to an elephant, why do we compare one person to another? We limit ourselves when we do this.
Every individual holds their own abilities and excels in their own unique ways. Humanity as a whole is seemingly stuck on the idea that everyone is to be the same, everyone is to be perfect, and no one is to make a single mistake in their work or personal lives. When the reality of the matter is we are bound to make mistakes and that is more than okay. What matters Is what we do with those mistakes. If we learn from our mistakes, and better ourselves from said mistakes, then we become better and stronger individuals.
I have made more than enough mistakes in the short time I have been alive, but I do not let them hold me back or hinder me. I have learned from them and have become stronger and more resilient than I once was. I am still young and have many more mistakes ahead of me, and I am okay with that. I have much to learn and I welcome this with out stretched arms. There is an abundance of knowledge and experience out there to be had. The glorious thing about this life is you never stop learning, you can never know everything, and this excites me.
