Hello all!
I come in gloomy peace to bring dark tidings and a sense of frivolous whimsy. Like the night? So do I...message me if you would like a friend who's more Lunar oriented.
I'm a singer/songwriter, I live and breathe music and my taste is eclectic. My favourite types of music are rock, metal, jazz, blues and brit pop/rock.
Sisters of Mercy, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Christian Death, Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, Marilyn Monroe, Suede, Catatonia, Madonna, Epica, Evanescence, Cradle of Filth, The Cure, Jamiroquay, Fall Out Boy are just a few out of the thousands of artists I've listened to over the years.
I must say now that I am not a culture snob and I can't stand those that are. For example: the 'hardcore' kids at school would always mock those who dared to listen to Fall Out Boy or Panic!ATD. Those people I wish I could throw to these lovely gals...
I enjoy art history very much, it was a side-study of my art course when I was in college. My favourite part was the Romantic movement.
The philosophy of Romanticism is that all the world and everything in it...maybe even the universe; is decadent, temporary, and that people are minuscule compared to the mighty and destructive power of nature.
If humans are ever in paintings done within Romanticism, they are usually very small in contrast to the natural landscape surrounding them. This highlights the Romantic belief of humans being powerless and completely at mercy to the decadent and destructive forces of nature.
I enjoy everything dark. Humour, movies, music, clothing, art, poetry, stories etc. While I wouldn't say I'm a full-time goth anymore, I will say that when I do physically 'goth up', I'm a lot more understated than I used to be.
I would say I'm a goth on the inside more than anything. I have a romanticised and nihilistic view of the world. I'm at peace with the darkness inside of me and I even enjoy it. But we all have a dark and a light side. The only difference is now I do not define myself as a goth, because I have alot more going on for myself than just being gothic.
I enjoy psychological horror above all the rest. I can't stand the modern trash horror that's churned out nowadays. As most goths do, I also LOVE vampires, I wish I could be one.
My favourite shows are South Park, 2 Broke Girls, Don't Trust The B**** in Apt 23, Fringe, Buffy, Angel, and loads more.
Red wine is my favourite drink and I love to socialise. The moon is my sun now after doing night shifts for over a year, the night just feels more like home to me.
I love to research and I can do it endlessly on any subject that takes my fancy. Lately it's conspiracy theories, the stuff you can find online is jaw-dropping. If anyone ever wants links to any interesting websites, just send me a message.
If you want to know more, just message me!
Know oneself and walk in dignified humility...
Until we meet xo
