The air was cool and crisp as it licked the blood that dripped desperately from my porcelain neck. November laid its claims on the world as I watched my last sunrise lay rest to Halloween. The rays burned deep through my flesh, deeper into my muscles, deeper through my bone into my aching soul setting my entire being a-flame.
I laid there on the roof of an amphitheater burning and bleeding for hours and hours until the sun went back to sleep and there was no blood left to bleed. It wasn't until the moon hit its peak that the burning stopped, all at once I became cold and I've yet to feel anything but cold ever since.
The closest I can get to warmth is the succulent sea of blood streaming from a living being into my mouth, flooding my tongue, slithering gracefully down my throat and coming to rest on brim of my morality. The blood smelling so warm and tasting so sweet turns cold as it hits the night air and leaves a bitter taste on my lips as my victims heart ceases to beat, but i can't resist. Blood is my all or nothing, my saving grace, my air, my love and my drug so I will keep drinking until I am not cold any longer...After all it makes me stronger.
