I am known by many names -mother, sister, daughter, friend.
Yet none of them truly describe or explain who I am, a random collection of memories, experiences, thoughts, fears & opinions.
A lost little girl always waiting for the monster under the bed to shout “BOO!”, a cynical adult who knows most monsters look just like everyone else -often with a smile on their face.
A frightened shadow that's been kicked one too many times, & has little trust left to give those around her, a free spirit that encourages others to follow their dreams.
A joker that spreads laughter, an idiot that so much goes over the head of, a dark being that bleeds inside where no one can see & cuts at herself with sharp words & blades.
A strong woman breaking free of the abusive chains that almost broke her.
A mother striving to give her children a new start in life.
A sister learning what it means to no longer be alone as she learns what it means to be a sister.
A daughter discovering that a parent does understand.
A friend who knows she's blessed by the friends she has.

At the moment my life is in flux, so many changes rushing like waves, crashing & tearing through everything I've known.
