A glimpse at my life...

You will find a consistent theme with most of these pictures...Animal Rescue.

I've been involved in over 15 disaster responses for both humans and animals. 7 years of disaster response was directed at assisting humans. However the last few years, the efforts have been directed at assisting animals.

My job is even related to animals as I am an Animal Control Officer. During major disasters, I will leave my job for periods of time and respond with animal rescue efforts. I have been known to quit my job to remain active and deployed on a major disaster.

I have a propensity to document what I witness and observe. Sometimes I'm so busy getting my hands dirty or diving in with both feet to take pictures. Sometimes the images are as disturbing and as horrifying as what the subject was. I have learned through the years that many people find the images too unsettling to peruse my photographic collection. I do not censor pictures or videos, except to respect humans and protect their privacy and dignity, especially in death.
