On Saturday 04-28-07 at approximately 19:15 myself, my girlfriend and her 17mo. old granddaughter were headed home from St. Louis Mo. south on Mo. hwy 21 a few miles south of De Soto MO. when a woman driving west on a cross road pulled out in front of us. My girlfriend's granddaughter sustained apparently minor injuries, bruises scrapes and a cut in her mouth. My Girlfriend had 3 broken ribs, bruises, scrapes, strained muscles and is still having problems with her neck and right shoulder. I ended up with bruises, scrapes, strained muscles, two bulging disks in my lower back, torn cartlidge in my right knee and arthritic damage to both knees and my back that is permanent. Thats all the apparent injuries we know of at this time. Thank God we were all wearing our seat belts. As far as we know at this time neither of the 2 people in the other car were seriously injured. We feel very fortunate because we know it could have been much worse. Please wear your seat belts and put children in car seats the doctors told us we wouldn't be here if we weren't wearing them.
