There must be both dark and light. I will do what I must to keep the balance, as the balance is what holds all life. There is no good without evil, but evil must not be allowed to flourish. Gray Jedi do not break with the Jedi orthodoxy concerning the dark side, they make compromises, cut corners, and hide their actions from scrutiny, all under the assumption that their experience makes them authorities on policy. They are mavericks who are difficult to control. Gray Jedi were those who did not belong to any Force-based organization and who explored both the light and the dark sides of the Force without becoming corrupted by the dark side

This mentorship serves as a balance between light and dark, without one or the other, they would not survive. This mentorship welcomes both light and dark and serves a purpose of bringing balance. Each of us has a dark and light side, which one we choose to embrace is the question.
