I do you know... I do, do good turns for others and expect nothing in return. A complete random selfless task, but it just gets difficult sometimes when taken forgranted.
Moving on...the past few days haven't been easy and I tried to find motivation in the spirit of good over the weekend. Even put up my Christmas tree, but I just can't get over something, and tears fall silent upon my pillow at night.
Still...there is Rome, soon. I hear it's spirit and faith drawing me closer. Counting the days now. Really.
Its Sunday. Its not a work day and here I am wide awake as if it is. Feel like screaming at my auto clock to sync into sleep mode. Grrr!
Happy Thanksgiving to all those celebrating the harvest. :) Over here in Ireland we don't make a holiday out of it, but we do decorate the Church with fruits and corn and hold a special service to thank God for what we have. Same concept I guess, but of course you guys out west do it bigger!
Talking about America... I guess I am hooked on my Fox news app these days just to see each morning what's happened "next" in America!
At last people who were injured in , " The Troubles" in Northern Ireland may get a life long pension. This is a positive move forward for people living with a disabled legacy and I hope this recognition for them is successful.
There was a re-run of the movie, "Terminator' on telly this evening and it really is a classic! I enjoyed it just as much this time, as I did first time around :) :)
I don't think I will get a French car again as it performs horribly in the snow. They should rename the 208 hdi to slow snow worm... very dangerous and its performance really scared me on the mountain tonight! Twisting n" weaving n" spinning . Gonna have to do a defensive winter driving course or else get rid of it.
Those 4 wheel Mercedes C Class cars look good..if only . Sighs.
I want Sockpuppet back !!! Whereabouts are yee Yeats lover?

Oh, now that name brings back memories! lol
Glad to see he is still remembered :)
My sympathies lay with the professional drivers as I knew how I felt after driving a 1000 miles in one week. Think I am still recovering. I have a Dublin, Tipperary road trip week after next and screaming inside at the thought of having to get to work there.
For some reason, I have never been able to get into those fruit teas and even the name of them suggests something other than tea. I much prefer a proper cuppa, like Earl Grey or Darjeeling. Red Bush is real whacky as it tastes like how I would "think" chewing tobacco would taste!
Hello journal..my old friend, I have come to write in you again. In days of darkness you have been my friend and I sit beside you once again. Sounds familiar?
“When and if fascism comes to America it will not be labeled ‘made in Germany’; it will not be marked with a swastika; it will not even be called fascism; it will be called, of course, ‘Americanism'” – An uncredited New York Times reporter covering Halford E. Luccock in an article published September 12, 1938.
Some times life gives you the most amazing surprises, and for that I count my blessings and be thankful. However, there have been times I had to work very hard and mostly nearly all the hours in a day in order to achieve. It has been a struggle juggling work, looking after my elderly parents, studying, running my home, that I felt I was constantly drawing the short straw. Holidays or breaks away were planned for a time when the stress just got too much.
Well, for all the effort I put into things at work, I have now been recommended by my professional body to go forward for Fellowship. I have been Chartered for 10 years now, so being nominated for Fellowship has been a real honour and one I am proud of.

Congratulations I know you earned it :)
Thank you Night game x
Well it is a scary issue when you lose power of one of your legs as I did not so long ago. The doctors couldn't find a quick answer without xrays, but I had an inkling idea it was driving so much. (My little French car is 3 year old and is turning 125,000 miles this week)
I am a regular gym user and "suddenly" I couldn't even lift 5kg in leg extensions when I regularly pushed them at 40kg! So, naturally I got freaked out about that.
So, in a scrounge to find a quick answer I went to the chiropractor who started to crack things back into place again. Its been going on for 2 months now and I feel I am making progress having got the weight up to 25kg for the leg extensions. But my goodness the squats are hell, and that's with no weight when I usually packed a 15kg sack on my shoulders!
Wish I knew what the heck was going on. :(
