I rolled over when the alarm went off this morning feeling so chilled out after a deep muscle massage and facial the previous day and fell back to sleep, so I never got to see the gym before work this morning. However, I did do a 50 minute cross country when I got home, and later this evening went to have a chat with my friend Edel.
This protein lark, is leaving me kinda drained with the amount of excerise I put myself through.. So I am gonna love it when the carbs kick in again on Sunday :) just two more days to go!
I haven't written in this part of my journal in like forever; but that doesn't mean that I am not out there. On the contrary I am working out as a minimum for at least a hour every day, and today was no exception. I did the same cross country run twice, once for a hour in the morning, and the same again in the evening up and down the hills, climbing the steps up a cliff and through the rugged woods. Tomorrow morning if the wind is mild, I may try the beach and it's challenging running in soft wet sand. It's pleasant getting out and about anyway instead of spending time inside a stuffy gym. Albeit it I have to fit in three sessions of free weights this week somewhere.. And that's hard if the weather is nice as I like to be outdoors.
If I am working a long day it's a struggle sometimes getting up at 6am to do a workout before work, but find if I don't it's even harder to do it when I return from work. Enter Steve. He pushes me to my limits so much recently that sometimes its difficult to fight back the tears of excess exhausation, but the glow is always worth it after and particularly so when you get the 'burn' he just laughs when I am scream, 'I'm on fire' heh. I love it really :)
