Today has been a good day. I got my taxes done and dusted and they were not as bad as I anticipated. Bought myself a new top to celebrate..it will be just the ticket for Malta :)

The good thing is, 'Action Cancer' makes a page for any donations to made directly to them, so if anyone wishes to sponsor my 150 mile walk in March you can have peace of mind the transaction is secure and via PayPal or Visa. This service is worldwide and donations are not restricted to just the UK and Ireland. :)

Some days all I want to do is come here and chill. I read the journals mostly when I am here. I don't bother much with the forum anymore as I did way back in the good old days as i lost interest, as in beating a dead horse.



Now today is one of those chill days..its not strange to find comfort here considering I have been around these parts so long. Familiarity. Family.



Comfort. My Daddy is in hospital intensive nursing..he held my hand tonight and said he was going to die. I never felt so hopeless or helpless. It's a comfort I can come somewhere to help find the calm in my mind.

Well, well, well.. To be sure, to be sure, to be sure my drive home from work today was real interesting and made wish I had one of those portable police strobe lights.



I was driving 33 mph in a 30 mph speed zone! And a black turbo gti driven by a crazee *bleep bleep* started tooting behind me. When he finally got past me at the speed of light, still in a 30mph restricted riad he looked in on the way past, grinned and gave me the fingers!!! Jebus frigging road rage twerp! I should of shook my hammer at him Lololol.

I just watched it as Well, and thought he handled it very well. He just went up a notch in my estimation of him as he was different in his approach from other world leaders. Change Management is difficult to steer so that will initially be open to critique.

Flat tyre this morning. Ugh, just ugh. That puts all my plans out of sync.

My Father did not recognize me yesterday but he sang me songs. Because of this my night out ended early but even with just 2vodka, I know I will never drink spirits again despite my obvious enjoyment of them last night. I hadn't drank hard liquor since my 20's ..but wine, that is,a different matter!

Finally! I am fit for a night out. :) I opened a nice Bolla Valpolicella tonight. So..I am a wine snob lol I don't care just love my little bit of Italy :)

Love the show, "Homeland Security' ..it's a pity Brody was killed off as I felt he was a bigger part of the show, but maybe he will do a Jon Snow and come back lol. If not we can catch him in " Billions" ( Hurry up)

Time to try the sleep thing again... I have been having memories of water skiing in the Red Sea, falling and the boat man shouting at me to not fall again until I finished as there were sharks about!!!! No fear then, but I remember the " after shakes" once I got on dry land again!

I enjoy Homeland but for some reason Claire Danes annoys me in her role of Carrie.... and she didn't walk through a market wearing a niqab in the first episode of the new season which just felt weird!!... she did ALMOST cry though so it sorta made up for it.



House of cards is awesome, Spacey fits that role perfectly and I shouted at the screen when watching Vikings because Ragnor died.... ~spoilers~ btw if anyone hasn't watched that episode yet... probably should have typed ~spoilers~ at the beginning of this paragraph but meh it's too late now.

I love Homeland and am looking forward to this new season. I liked Brody but I felt his part had played out and it was time for his exit. I've really liked Quinn and I hope they don't spoil his character after the near death.

The good thing (if I can say that) about being ill, is I got to watch some great movies over the past couple of days. "John Reacher" 'The Brotherhood' & "The Criminal" all class shows, with plenty of action so I highly recommend them!
