Just as my husband excels in his photography by turning it into art, I also excel in the creation of culinary excellences (so I am told) Tonight was no exception to that.



The fishmonger was selling fresh scallops in his cart at the market today and straight from the ocean, so I bought half a dozen. Scallops is a dish I really never tried to do myself before...however I was feeling adventurous tonight, and so I created la piece du excellence !



I pan fried the scallops slowly until golden and soft in garlic butter, added scallions, green chilli, and some red chilli for colour and cracked pepper. In the meantime I deep fried (sin ouch!) some hand cut chips. When it was ready, I served the scallops with the hand cut chips, drizzled with cracked salt, chilli and garlic sauce. BblissEmoooo! ( that's meant to be Italian for bliss!) all this swallowed down with a south african Sauvignon blanc called Leopard's Leap. It was yummylicious :)



AND HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

At last I can see a reprieve on my horizon and believe me, this break from work is very welcome. I am now only four reports away from *bliss and some downtime*



I got an invite to Cairo and Spain also.. so I am trying to plan Cairo in July, a few weeks after my return from Italy and Greece. Spain will wait until September :) I plan to get a work/life balance correct after Easter and there is nothing I enjoy more than travelling.. I am sure you have noticed that already though heh.

Talk about 'snail mail' a friend sent me a christmas card from the USA in December 2011, and I finally received it yesterday!! Nearly three and a half months later! wow... what kinda ponies do you have in the US? lol

I recognized scenes from Season 2 of, "The game of Thrones" last night..like Downhill beach where they burned the statues, the black hedge and other woodland areas where I ramble on my walks. However, I couldn't help feeling a bit disappointed with the opening episode.. I will not say too much just incase you have not seen it yet, still I thought it should of had more pomp, ceremony and introduction.. If you have seen it, what is your view?

My visits to the Rave lately have just been fleeting honour flyby's so my apologies if I haven't had time to reply to any messages I should of done. It is just a quick in and out due to the amount of stuff I have sitting on my desk to get through *squeaks* I will get back 'sometime'



Season two, episode 1 of Game of Thrones starts tonight.. damned if I will miss that! so I am trying to rush through an audit summary at the minute inbetween an 'honour' break heh. Laters x
