I joined this wonderful site 5 years ago and have watched this site grow and change, people come and people go, covens come and covens go. At the time of my joining this site my daughter was 12 years old, she has also grown and changed. Boyfriends came, boyfriends went, but she was still my baby girl. Well now my baby girl is 17 years old, another boyfriend (he hasn't gone anywhere...yet) has come into her life, loves her for who she is, and doesn't try to get her to change (like her past boyfriends). Amber (daughter) andDonnie (boyfriend) have been together since November 2010. Shortly after they got together, Amber got sick... I took her to the doctor on December 20, the doc ran some tests, came back into the room with a very serious look on his face. Now keep in mind, this is my baby girl, I was the typically worried mother, I started thinking that something was very wrong with my child, just by the look on his face. He looked at me, then looked at Amber, and said very calmly, "There is nothing wrong with you, except that your that your PREGNANT." I looked at him and looked at Amber, and started laughing, I know that was a weird reaction, but that is exactly what I did. I told the doctor thank you, he left the room. I looked at Amber and the poor child was crying, I asked her what was wrong. She said that she thought I was going to start yelling at her about being pregnant, she didn't expect me to start laughing, so they were tears of relief. I asked her what there was to yell about, I knew she was having sex, I knew there was no stopping her from having sex (no matter how many times I had told her that I really wished she wouldn't), and I also knew that there would come the time that she would end up pregnant. The baby is due around August 22, Amber is now 8 weeks pregnant and doing fine, bad case of morning sickness that is starting to get better (thank god). I will be posting Pregnant Tummy pictures each month, so you all can experience this with me and get to see her and the baby growing each month till the end, then I will post the final picture of the baby when it arrives and then dedicate a space in my journal devoted to the baby. This is my first grandchild, so I'm excited. Febuarary 3, we had an ultrasound done, and here is that ultra sound. Baby is looking good with a strong heartbeat. I know I haven't been keeping this updated, but had internet issues for awhile. Anyway, the baby is doing really good and so is Amber, she is being induced on August 4, as there was a change in the due date according to the ultrasound the baby is due August 7, but poor Amber has been sick, so the baby comes in a week. I'm excited and scared all at the same time. I wasn't a very good mom but I want to be a good grandma. When baby gets here I will post her picture, name and everything else. Akira is doing really good, she is 7 months old now and the smartest, most beautiful little girl. Amber and Donnie are still together, I think marriage is being talked about but not sure on that one. |
