Probably the last thing I'll quote from the movie. Something about it is full of yes, in an asshole way. xD
"Shut up. Look. There's really only one question any of you want to ask: you want to know what it would take to turn you into me. Well, listen closely, 'cause I'm gonna give you the answer. In order to be a great artist, you simply have to *be* a great artist. There's nothing to learn. So... you're all wasting your time. Go home"- Art School Confidential
Finished watching Art School Confidential. I'm so angry with the ending. >: I did enjoy it, just a sucky open ended-ending. What did I expect? It's how his other movie ended, so open. Not totally un-happy, yet not the saddest, just "open".
I really like Daniel Clowes' work. I wish I had his comics :(
The film itself reminded me of high school. How everyone elses shitty work is so much better than mine and reminded me of how people can gang up on you and make art hard. I'll never understand that, it truly is all about your peers. A critic may never like you, the public will. That's the difference. Which is what fascinates me when it comes to independent comics. No one, can ever, ever take away what you create for yourself. They can edit professional comics, but that's how you lose. You lose the message the creator wanted you to see. The purest form.
And of course, you have to take chances. Keep feeding your soul, even if people dislike it.
Watched another B movie. I didn't find it scary, but the end made me want to cross my arms. xD Like, "LolNo" :x
I watched a few movies. Seven Psychopaths is charming. Who doesn't love Christopher Walken in movies? The part with the dog at the end, nothing but cute. Make sure not to leave when the credits first start, nifty alternate ending.
I also watched a B movie, which I'll leave un-named. It was okay. To be honest, it wasn't the gore that made me cringe, it was the make out scenes. Eh.
I've finished watching Django Unchained. I loved it.
What got me was at the end, when Django was trying to persuade three hicks, I thought the hillbilly looked so familiar. I searched and I was right. xD The same scary actor who played the bad guy in Wolf Creek, John Jarratt is just a random hick. Creepy. :P

You want to know what's worse? We have Husqvarna ads over here - and the catch phrase is "Whether you want to lop it, crop it or chop it: Husqvarna!"
And the guy in the ad?
The bad guy from Wolf Creek.
Lop it, crop it or chop it? LOL
He'd know. :x
Oh god. xD I was waiting for him to say, "That's not a knife. *This* is a knife." But it's more of a gun movie. lol
Who here is a big fan of the movie, "The Warriors"? It's a good movie if you haven't seen it. My favorite movie.
The book is different, sure. Man who wrote the book, Sol Yurick died this year.
