I don't think the 80's movie, Once Bitten, gets talked about enough. I like it. A very young Jim Carrey as the role of the male virgin that the old vampire lady wants. What always made me laugh was the coffin scene. Where his girl friend makes him un-pure, ruining the vampire's plans. haha
I decided to watch movies all day. From, "That's My boy" with Adam Sandler, which was funny, to "How To Train Your Dragon".
I wanted to watch more, searching through the movie website, I found something called Mary and Max. It's a clay animated movie about an eight year old girl named Mary who lives in Melbourne and an old man named Max in New York City. Kind of a morbid film, yet it still has it's charm from them being pen pals. The morbidness isn't anything graphic, more along the lines of every day problems and mental illness. When she finally visits him, she finds he's kept all the items she's sent, but she never does get to speak with him,
I'd search for more odd films to watch, but I need more suggestions. :P
Walked into a 7/11 the other day. Wanted a drink after a long walk. AriZona was the best choice. What's this? They have a flavor called Chocolate Fudge Float. Can reads, "Brooklyn Original". Very pretty artsy design of what I think is an Italian woman with the American flag.
I'm the kind of person who reads the ingredients on everything. They use Basco chocolate syrup, milk and sparkling water.
Wait a minute!!! That's no "Chocolate Fudge Float!" It's a Brooklyn Egg cream! I had to try it. So I could judge it's Brooklyn taste.
First mistake is that they didn't use Fox's U-Bet chocolate syrup.
The taste was horrible. Total miss on the Egg cream flavor.
An egg cream contains no eggs. It's a drink made up of milk, chocolate syrup and seltzer. Sure, you can cheat the flavor by using another kind of syrup or club soda, but it won't have the same amount of chutzpah.
I love AriZona teas and sodas, however, when it comes to the Brooklyn Egg cream, they've failed.
This movie is funny. Part where he asks where they're going and she replies, Brooklyn. Lmfao
Oh man, I need to finish watching it.
Quote from a book made me giggle. Maybe for the goat reference.

Goats? Sheep? These references to barnyard animals may get a few (probably more than a few) on here excited. :)
LOL
hahahaha..... ^_^
Can't wait to celebrate Chan-oo-ka this year. LOL It starts on the 8th, tomorrow night.
So that was a bad joke. >_> It's how people don't pronounce it right. The same mistake a person might make when asking for Challah bread. Always makes me laugh.
Say it with an extra H sound. Forget that the C is there.
Things people might not know about Chanukah-
It's not that much of a major holiday, people only notice it more because of all the other holidays at the time. Like Christmas.
Gift giving only came along because people were jealous of Christmas. :P However, it's a tradition to give kids gelt. Gelt over here are chocolate coins. :) It originated from real coins.
People can play games by spinning a dreidel to win gelt or coins. I just like it because it's a top. I've never really played for gelt.
Speaking of food- We eat oily fried foods at this time. :) Such as, Potato latkes and doughnuts.
Though, I like to make soup around this time. >_> Because it's cold around here. Those poor Matzo's who have lost their balls for my soup! (Matzo balls are made from matzo meal. Can be compared to what American's would call a dumpling. I think.)
Eating the oliy foods is to celebrate the miracle that the oil in the menorah lasted for 8 nights. We light our candles as we say our prayers, each one of those eight nights. :)
At least that's how I celebrate. >.>
December 8th is the start of Chanukah. :)
Was watching this music video of Adam Sandler on TV. I thought it was funny because my Siamese cat's name is Chanukah. :P
