To a person I thought I knew,
That person of course is You.
I layed all of my beliefs aside,
So with You my soul could reside.
Many days of my life I gave away,
So with You I could be led astray.
But let down again like many times before,
My affliction with You is just another locked door.
Trying to find what I thought was me,
Inside a box, where in You I believed.
But turned away from what I thought I knew,
To be let down again, let down by You.
I walk with shadows from the shame You send,
Waving goodbye to infatuations impending end.
In what You were I though I'd found me,
But what I found was just a dream

So deep is the thought of her and him,
To describe is impossible, where to begin?
Like Fire and Ice from two different worlds,
A God of a Man and a simple Girl.
Like a story that has lasted throughout time,
They share one thought, one soul, one mind.
Yet as far away as they are apart,
Each know what exists in the others heart.
She knows his face, each freckle, each mark,
He knows she lives, senses her in the dark.
He carries on with his life each day,
Though he never sees her walking his way.
They're like night and day,
Without one there is no other.
But the can't be together,
The can never be Lovers.
Yet She sits and waits, bididng her time,
And thinks of when it will be her time.
She knows he's not hers but she fears the day,
That she loses him, her heart shattering like clay.
He feels her pain, that this connection exists,
That this feeling he has is not only his.
He hears her heart but he can't seem to see,
Who she is or where she could be.
But his hand is already taken, his life has a plan,
He doesn't realise her life is in his hands.
A distant thought, an aching love is all they are.
He is the Moon and She is the Stars.
Without one there can be no other,
But they can't be together,
They will never be lovers
