Loss within Love

Is it a bad relationship when the person you devote your time and energy to, makes you feel completely alone? Is it a bad sign when you feel more comfortable in the company of someone else than with your partner? Is it normal to want a free and open relationship, with trust and dignity? If he says he teases and pokes fun because he loves you, is that really true? Personally I would have thought if he loved you he would do all he could from making you feel uncomfortable or unworthy. Is it natural to seek another's company when your partner is not around? Is it normal to have an attachment to, or desire for, another person that some would equate to love? Even if they live far away and you've never seen them?

I want a stable, trusting, loving relationship, but I want to be able to do the things that make me happy, even if it means being unfaithful. Is this even possible? To have such a degree of trust that I would be able to go out and do normal human things and not fear the consequence of him finding out, in case of him throwing a tantrum and dumping me?

I guess what I'm saying is, is this relationship worth it if I'm not happy and can't be myself?
