She stands on her balcony, overlooking the snow covered mountainous horizon, as the last hint of sunlight fades behind them. Her white satin gown, billows softly in the cool winter breeze. She is restless, as she scans back and forth for something seemingly just out of her field of view, when out of the corner of her eye, she sees movement. She turns, but there is nothing to be seen. She has a sense of foreboding, and a chill runs up her spine, as two muscular arms wrap around her waist from behind. She gasps, and then releases a deep sigh, as he slides his lips up her shoulder and neck. Almost from reflex, she reaches up to caress the back of his head and pulls him tighter to her. He responds with a playful little nip to her ear. “I thought you might not come” she says to him. “How could I not” he replies, “for I heard you call my name across the four winds, and you know as well as I, the adoration spell you have cast upon me cannot be broken. “ Can you stay long?” she asks. “Ah, fairest of maidens,” he answers, “as you are my one true love, you know that the light of day is my immortal nemesis, and I must be back in my chamber before sunrise.” She turns in his grip to face him, and wraps her arms around his neck. She kisses him lightly upon the lips and coos, “Then I suppose we should make the best of the time we have.” He leans down and cradles her in his arms like a newborn babe, his coal black eyes fixated upon hers. He carries her into her bed chamber, and lightly lays her upon the bed. “You will be gentle with me?” she asks. “Oh my love,” he responds, “to harm you would be the same as plucking out my heart, and grinding it to dust, for you are my shining beacon of light that keeps me from falling into total darkness.”
