For this spell you will need:
6 drops of Lavender oil
6 drops of Camphor oil
6 drops of Rosemary oil
1/2 an ounce of base oil (apricot kernel, jojoba, grape seed, even olive oil)
Candles - black, red, brown
Stones or crystals
Firstly, mix the oils to create healing oil. Anoint a black candle, a red candle and a brown candle with this healing oil. The black is for absorption of the negativity (the illness), the red is for strength and health, and the brown is an "astral" or "signification" candle for the animal.
Place the brown candle between the black and red candles, and make a ring of stones around the set-up, using stones or crystals that you associate with healing (amethyst, quartz, agate...you choose whichever type or combination of types).
Place some of the oil in your hands, and begin to rub them together, generating heat and energy. When you feel that you've built a small "bundle" of healing energy, place your hands on your pet, stroking it and giving it the healing energy you've built, making sure to concentrate on any areas where you feel or sense the illness.
Focus on the candles, continuing to maintain contact with your pet, and visualize the strength from the red candle pouring into the brown candle, and pushing all the sickness into the black candle.
Attune with the Goddess, and when you've got a good grip on the visualizations above (and the animal!), say:
Goddess, with your healing touch
Bless this animal we love so much.
God/Gods/Goddess,
With beasts as your omain,
Remover the sickness, heal the pain
o mote it be!
Continue the stroking and energy flow until you feel that the spell is done, and then allow the animal plenty of time to rest and heal. You may wish to perform this spell in a cast circle. If you wish to continue the spell for a number of days, and your pet has a special place where it rests or "lives" (such as a cage, etc.), ring this area, if possible, with the stones. Place a red candle on one side of the area and a black candle on the other (anointed with the healing oil); focus on the red candle and project its energy into area with your pet. Visualize the illness being pushed out the other side, since there's no room for it, and into the black candle. Rub the oil onto your hands and stroke it into/onto the animal's body as often as you feel necessary.
Candles calling to the Dead
an invocation/candle ritual
we honor you,
our own beloved dead,
on this night of all nights
on this Night of All Souls.
We place a candle in each window
for love of you,
that their fair light
May lead you home.
We light a silver candle
For the Blessed Lady
And a golden candle
For Her Noble Lord
We light an orange candle
For the fading autumn
And a purple candle
For the robes of wisdom
We light a red candle
For love everlasting
And a yellow candle
For remembrance
We light a white candle
For each of you:
(say the name aloud as you light the candle)
We light a blue candle
For spirit and those of you
Whose names we do not know:
(describe them by type of death: "Those
who died in the Burning Times, Those
who died of starvation" and so on)
Be with us now,
Beloved dead,
The named and the unnamed Alike: We love and honor you all.
Ingredients:
4 tbl frankincense or myrrh
4 tbl black powdered iron
4 tbl sea salt
4 tablespoons Orris root powder
1 white candle
1 bottle with cork or lid
1 mortar and pestle
Parchment paper
Black pen
Black thread
Mix sea salt, Orris root and iron in a bowl. Then cut a piece of parchment to fit inside the bottle.
Write on it:
"I neutralize the power of (name) to do me any harm. So mote it be."
Roll up the parchment, tie it with black thread and place in the bottle. Fill the bottle with dry ingredients. Take the white candle, turning the bottle counterclockwise, and drip wax over the cork to seal. Secretly bury the bottle where no person or animal will dig it up.
Set an empty cauldron or goblet on your altar between two lit white candles. Burn a good protection or blessings incense. Robe yourself, preferably in white and stand or sit before the altar. Breathe slowly and evenly until You are calm and centered. Take the cauldron or goblet in both hands; hold high over the altar in salute to the gods. Lower to chest level and slowly breathe into the cauldron, silently naming each habit, person or experience You wish removed from your life. When finished, turn the cauldron or goblet upside down on the altar,
Saying:
The contents of this vessel I give to thee, Great Ones.
Exchange these experiences for better.
Place an offering of herbs and milk outside, or at least burn the herbs in your censer. This is best done during the waning Moon.
Marie Laveau Energy and Protection Spell
It is a basic principal of magic that when we call upon our patron spirits for favors we must make some form of sacrifice. Voodoo queen Marie Laveau was often seen kneeling on the steps of St. Louis Cathedral in prayer with chili peppers in her mouth in order to find help in casting a particularly difficult spell. To make your own sacrifice in exchange for some helpful magic, take an object that you own. (The more precious to you, the better.) Bury or conceal it in your yard or near your front door. With broom or stick, circle the area and repeat these words:
With this broom I do make,
a blessed circle around my living space.
No one can curse, vex or hate,
the souls within this sacred place.
Spread loose chili pepper on the entrances to your home. Anyone who is not a true friend and tracks over the chili pepper spices will not return to your house.
