I woke up this morning and this popped into my head. It's just the chorus to a song I want to write, called Bite Me!



Don't hold back.

This is actually the chorus of a song I'm trying to write. I thought of it much like I did Peace, trying to fall asleep.



Fly, fly, fly



Fly away,

and don't come back,

over the oceans,

to find where you belong.

into the dark,

into the endless night.

I've started coming up with holiday themed poems. I've only done two so far.



Halloween:



When darkness falls,

and all is silent.

The light of a single white candle,

will keep the demons away



I used a white candle because I've read that white is the color of purity and protection.



Valentine's Day:



You don't have to run.

You don't have to hide.

To know that I love you,

just look in my eyes.



I don't know why I did this one. It doesn't seem to make much sense, but it flows (kind of) the way I wanted it to.

The world at peace,

Comes with a price.



They fought to end,

All feuds and war.



But, in the end,

They killed everyone instead.



Now, there is no war,

Because there are no people.



The Earth continues;

It’s rotation undisturbed.



The world is silent now,

Finally, at peace.

Look at me now as I dance

In gowns that flow and sparkle

Night after night, I shine for you

Like the North Star in the night sky

Shine with me now or never, I beg you

Please, dance with me up to the very end

Together we make a rainbow of colors

All winding together, like us, in harmony



Its dance you danced with a reckless need

In search of the light to make you shine

I watched you wither and fail

Don’t give up on me, ever



Why, now, when we shine together do we fall apart

Do the tides of life drown us in our search for the stars



It’s not right

We live for life

Why do we perish

That death has us

In its tight confines

Like the bright North Star
