she was ready for a good night's sleep- had said goodnight to her love, dressed for bed, and now climbed into what now looked like Heaven after a long day.
She laid down an exhausted head. her eyes closed with very little help.
The girl awoke, tied to a chair by cold metal chains.
The boy was there. In front of her.
She had loved him for so long.
The way he looked at her.
The way that he would make her smile at the worst of times.
But she was overwhelmed. Innocent, and unsuspecting.
She had told him that she didn't care for him any longer.
It was a horrible mistake.
He was facing her- tied the same way as herself.
She met his eyes, but only for a moment before he broke the stare.
But not before she caught the glance of relief in his eyes- like he was excited to see her.
She wanted to run over to him
To see him, and be with him
He was something else, and she knew it.
Her best friend- only better
Only the chains were keeping them apart
She struggled, and screamed hysterically.
Threw herself to the ground, and started to beg for forgiveness.
The chains disappeared just then
But she still couldn't find the strength to stand
He sat there, watching.
Then another girl appeared beside him.
She untied his own chains, and they stood there for only a second before pointing and laughing at the girl on the floor
Suddenly she stopped- and so did they.
She was finally able to stand, and the two of them were shocked.
She walked right over to them, shaking her head in disappointment.
They both backed up until their spineless backs were against the wall.
With the darkest of eyes, she stopped right in front of them and carefully leaned forward.
All she said to the two were the coldest of words- "Get out"
They just continued to stand there, looking up at her- terrified.
But soon the words soaked in and they were racing out of the room as fast as the dimwitted can.
She took a deep breath, until the clapping started.
She spun around to see an old friend lingering in the shadows- only making himself heard now.
Obviously, he was observing the entire time.
