Cops: Drunk woman recklessly drove a golf cart to pharmacy

CHESTERTON | A Chesterton woman was arrested on a preliminary public intoxication charge Wednesday after police said she was spotted erratically driving a golf cart.

Shortly before 7 p.m. Wednesday, Chesterton police were called to CVS Pharmacy, 505 E. County Road 1100 North, for a woman spotted driving a golf cart down the road, weaving in the road.

Police said when they arrived at the pharmacy they found the unattended golf cart and soon saw Jacqueline Hamilton, 59, of Chesterton, walking out of the store holding a bottle of whiskey in one hand and a large scarecrow in the other.

The woman reportedly told officers she was out buying decorations and was going to go home and have a drink by the fireplace.

Police said the woman smelled of alcohol and was reportedly found with a 0.09 blood-alcohol concentration. She was arrested without incident.

This is one of the funniest comics I have seen in a long time!!!! And now that I am a student after a million years, I can sooooo relate!

I am sitting in one of the common areas at school waiting for my next class to start so I am doing a bit of studying and surfing. There is this lady flopped in one of the chairs, slumped back, sleeping and SNORING!!!! LOL If you are that tired go home and sleep or at least go to your car....How annoying! I would be embarrassed! LOL
