Holy bird shit!

When I got home from taking one of my finals today, one of my cats was sitting on the wood stove down stairs. I had never seen him up there before. I greeted him and went about my business. He was upstairs a while later visiting with me and then when I went down stairs again he was perched back on the wood stove. I took some stuff to the garage and on my way back through he was looking inside the wood stove. I popped the door open and there was a female sparrow in there!!! So I put some gloves on and grabbed a towel so I could catch it and get it back outside. Just as I was reaching in, the damn thing flew out and started flying around my basement. I have a lot of windows so it kept trying to go out. I also have a ledge that runs around the wall and my cat was running back and forth trying to catch the bird as I am yelling at him to stop. I pull off the screen on one of the windows and then got it opened up. The bird finally made its way back my direction and made it safely out the window and landed in a bush on the front corner of my house. Talk about getting my blood pumping!!!!
