the fact that you have to read an ingredient label to find out if a product has msg in it. this is the third time this week I have come across a line of products that I wouldnt think they would put msg in and sure enough when I stop breathing and start swelling read the label and what do ya know MSG. I have a sever reaction to the shit and you would think they would put it on the front of the label.
THIS SHIT CONTAINS MSG DO NOT CONSUME IF YOU HAVE AN ALLERGY TO IT.
this type of msg would be most helpful. Hell most of the time they try to hide the fact and put it at the bottom of the list.

I fully agree with your point that, if one has a severe allergic reaction to MSG or any other ingredient, a warning label ought to appear somewhere on the product rather than forcing consumers to have to search the tiny ingredient list for each content item.
As for MSG appearing "at the bottom of the list," this is not done to hide anything. As you probably know, ingredients are listed in their order of the amount of each found in the product. The more of an ingredient is found in the product, the higher up the list it appears. Thus, as MSG makes up such a tiny fraction of the overall product contents, it will appear correspondingly low on the list.

I am aware of the order of quantity in a product. I also know that MSG does occur naturally, however I have bad reactions to the preservative MSG that they use. As I get older the reactions get worse. I am also allergic to shellfish and seafood of any type. Reading labels at the store has become a part of my life. You would be surprised at the actual ingredients that are used. simple sauces and dips have oyster sauce, which really causes reactions. I am amazed at the shit I am finding in food.
