While stopping by a cafe'

for a spot of tea

along came some old dear friends

welcome company



we made our lives seem better

than they really were

it only seemed natural

bragging would occur



one by one they went their way

I shrugged and beckoned to her

Drawing back her lips to show

she leaned to me and whispered

I rose and excused myself
