my family.....
when you go to a goth club you expect to hear goth music, right? or did i miss the memo that the rules have changed? ok, i know that i'm an old dj and i've been doing this much longer than anyone realizes. but when i go to a club that says it's a certain format, i expect to hear that. if i go to a punk club or a punk show, i want to hear punk music. if i go to a blues club, i want to hear blues music.
well i went to a club to night to meet up with the rest of the team from nemesis (chad too) to go over some things for new years. chad an i get out of the car and what the fuck are they playing but elvis. don't get me wrong, i love elvis. but i wouldn't spin him in a "goth" club. and yes i do have his music and i did spin him last friday night, but i was getting paid about $150 an hour on the decks to do something like that.
we go in and it's dead..... i mean really dead. and it was so loud that it actually hurt (i'm surprised that the cops weren't called kind of loud, and this is why hydra and nemesis use a decibel meter to make sure that we don't go over the local standards)
i think i was inside for not even five mins...... and to take the cake, some shit for brains dj actually started playing the spice girls!!!!!!! WTF!!!! gods.
and to top it off, two of the most annoying and piss poor djs where trying to get in on the conversation/meeting..... (they weren't part of the club, but they are so bad that they can't even get guess dj spot.) ug.
shortly after that we all bailed and moved to a different local to have the meeting......
but what the fuck was up with that club......
the vr manual is there for a reason.... read it before you open your mouth.
