for those of you that haven't seen district 9 yet, this is NOT a sci-fi film. yes there is mec and aliens. yes it's set in the future. but all that is fluff next to what it is really about. if you don't know what it's really about, it's time to find out where the story takes place and to learn your history.

I saw that movie at midnight, at its first showing. It was fantastic. I loved watching the humans being killed and watching their heads blow up. It was so beautiful, like art. (|^_^|)

i have some really good friends working on this one

i met to say this a few days ago, but.... for those of you that are going to sacred leaf, there is going to be a raffle. and one of the things that is up for raffle is a custom wig that i will make for who ever wins.... that is a piece that can go for upwards of $500. so if you want the chance, go.

still only 65% contained

7,017 acres burned

now, it's 5 injuries

and $ 9.8 million as the cost to date (starting on 8/12)

65% contained.

2 buildings burned down

100 buildings threatened

cost to date: $ 8.8 million

lockheed fire



50% containment

6,843 acres burned

the are letting some evacted back into their homes

2 buildings destroyed

4 injuries

$ 6.2 million in cost to date

the fire is now 40% contained. that is way a head of what they thought it would be at this point.



only 2 houses lost

and one 1 injury





and with the fact that over 6000 acres have burned... that's good.



but..... the cost to date is $5.2 million

oh wonderful..... one of my secondaries is really close to all of this....

but the wind is going the other way from his house
