SUBJECT: Upcoming Defiance Info for August 18th + THANK YOUs!
We're sending out a HUGE thank-you to everybody who showed-up last
Friday and made things such a big success for us. We all had a great
time putting on the event for you, and next month is going to be even
more exciting....
First place, we have The Strand headlining. These guys are
insanely good, live performers in the industrial-dance genre (
www.StrandLand.com). I have been spinning their material for about
three years now, and I know I've been talking about them forever, so
ask somebody who saw them at Convergence two years ago if you want to
know how good these guys are live.
Second, we have Falling You who just confirmed a week ago
performing. Many of you know John, and I'm sure many of you also
know that his band is one of the best, ethereal-rock bands in the
free world - AND he's local! This is a not-to-be-missed performance
that will probably include some local, guest musicians of pretty high
calibre.
Third, we have local psychobilly phenoms, The Stellar Corpses
performing. For those of you who like the stylings of The Cramps and
The Damned... be prepared to rock to these upcoming psycho stars from
down the street.
Fourth, our newly-renovated stage area will be up-and-running in
August, so the back room is going to look very different. For those
of you who complained about the cement floors, well, we put-in a
completely new floor, among other, major changes.
As per usual, we'll have an assortment of DJs of all styles, and
August marks the return of our very loved DJ Neshamah to the decks!
We'll also have Unit 77 guesting from San Jose.
