Well I got the test results of her blood work and all is good. Her counts are where they are supposed to be and she is feeling good. She is still not eating much at one sitting, but she is eating.
She went back to preschool on Wednesday and had a ball. They had a little party for her birthday.
On this past Wednesday my daughter was taken to the ER, per the request of her physician. She had a temp. of 103.5 and I could not get it to break, she was a little dehydrated. I thought she caught the flu from one of the kids at school. I was wrong.
Once we got to the ER they hooked her up to an IV. Let me tell you, momma was not happy about that. The damn nurse could not get it right the first time in her arm, so they had to poke her again in the hand. The right hand no less. Why do they put an IV in the hand that you use the most? It is unbelievable. They drew a bunch of blood and gave her a CAT scan of her abdomen. They wanted to see if she had an abdominal blockage or appendicitis.
Her white blood cell counts were down and all her test results were messed up. My thought, well she is sick and hadn't eaten any solid food for two days. DUH!!
So they admit her over night. You would think, that while you were in the hospital you would get some rest. But no, not here. They came in every two hours taking her temperature and blood pressure and oxygen levels.
Poor little girl was so scared every time the nurses came she in. She would start crying and ask are they going to poke me again. I was getting pissed!!
They came in a drew more blood from her around 8 in the morning. They results cam e back messed up again. I told them, what do you expect, she hasn't had real food. They were like we need to have a bowel movement before she can go. I got really pissed.
I told all of her nurses and her family doctor, she can not have a bowel movement if she has no food in her belly. They were like ooo. DUH!!
I told the nurse around noon, to call her doctor and tell her that it was time for us to go home.
The nurse came back around 1 and told me she was filling out discharge papers and we could go as soon as she got them done.
We left the hospital around 1:45.
She had a follow up with her family doctor today. My mom had to take her because I had to work. My mom sent me a text and said my baby was crying because they took more blood from her to see if her counts came back.
I called her doctor's office and let them know that I was unhappy that they did not tell me when they discharged us that she would have to have more blood taken.
Needless to say, I am an over protective momma that is not happy!!

She is in my prayers as always. You are right to be upset. They should be more thoughtful. Please keep me posted on this. You are loved very much.
As soon as I get the results back from te doctors office tomorrow I will let you know.
You would think nurses and doctors would take into account the age of the patient.
Mom said when the doctor walked into the office to Chey todaym Chey asked her if she was going to hurt her again.
They must not realize that kids remember the painful events in their life.
This weekend, my parents and I are taking my little girl on her first canoe trip down the Current River. I can't wait. I haven't got to go canoeing for several years.
Camping out and canoeing. Making smores and cooking burgers and dogs on the open fire.
Gonna be a relaxing weekend.
