Well potty training is getting better. Once she realized she would get a little spanking for peeing or pooping in her pants, she decided she didn't want that. Plus, she has really taken to getting a sticker book, not just a sticker for going the whole day without an accident.
She had two little accidents yesterday at my mom's because they were outside playing and they didn't make it to the house in time to go potty. But my mom said she cried because she knew she had made a mess in her pants and wouldn't get a sticker book. But it wasn't all her fault, mom couldn't get her in the house fast enough. So I just gave her a sheet of stickers for her good triumph.
It is getting better day by day.
Mom said she sat in the bathroom for a half an hour trying to pee so she would get her stickers.
She is trying and that is all I can ask for.
My little girl is three and a half years old. I tried to start potty training her when she was 2 but that did not work at all. So I waited until she showed me signs of being ready to do it on her own. Well that was just not happening. So I decided since I was spending between $200 and $250 a month on diapers, pull-ups and wipes. That is pretty expensive for a single parent to handle. That is also half of my house payment.
So, we ran out of pull-ups over the weekend. So now my little girl only wears a diaper at nap time and night time. On Monday and Tuesday, which are my days off, she did fairly well. Course I was on her every hour on the hour, asking her if she needed to go the potty. On Wednesday, while my mom was watching her, she had several accidents. My mom was so frustrated when I picked her up after work.
But my thought on this, was that my mom was busy working and Chey was busy playing and just paying attention to the fact she needed to potty in the potty.
Mistakes will happen until she just realizes that she doesn't need to go the potty in her pants.
Good thing summer is here.

My boss is still working on his almost- four-year old. The pre schools and day care places won't take kids unless they are potty trained, and this little princess sometimes deliberately pees her little pants to get attention. "I'm a baby!" she yelled the other day. "Babies get their ass paddled for peeing in their pants," her daddy told her, and she shut right up. LOL!
she will get it. I made potty time fun. We would sing songs and read books while my son was on the potty. When we flushed we would go bye bye pooopppyy. He loved to flush the toilet. He also loved flushing spoons down the toilet. Oi
Life can get so complicated so fast.
Had to go the doctor for my annual blood work this past week. I have to get tested for diabetes every year, since the birth of my daughter. (I had gestational diabetes when I was pregnant.)
I got my results on Wednesday and was pretty happy with them, except for my triglycerides. The glucose test was 93, which is good. The cbcs were good, the cholesterol was great 160. But my triglycerides were 395. They are supposed to be 150 or below. Last year when I had the test done, they were only 115.
I really haven't changed my diet or anything, so I was freaking out. I called the doc and they scheduled me for more blood work yesterday, Friday. I guess they are rechecking my triglycerides and checking my thyroid this time as well.
I haven't been able to keep the weight off that I have lost. So they think that could be thyroid related.
While I was talking to the nurse, she told me with my triglycerides being where they were, I was at high risk for heart disease or a heart attack. I am only 33 years old. This is just crazy.
They have put me on a low fat, low carb diet. I am not happy about that at all. It says in the diet NO CHOCOLATE!!! But I am a chocolate-aholic.
She told me I need to walk for at least 30 mins everyday.
Getting old sucks and I am not even that old yet.
