I just watched the sneak peek for Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution on ABC. All I have to say, he is right! The American people are eating way to much junk.
It would be really nice to see the school's change their breakfasts and lunches.
It is sad that it takes a TV show to show us how wrong we are in the foods in we eat. We eat foods that are way to easy,, Fast Food.
We are all guilty of it!!

Hey wait a minute I loved school lunches...we had biscuits that actually broke the plastic trays...mmm mmm good stuff...if you could digest it and it didn't kill you it only made you stronger...
LOL!! I remember those as well. I remember the pizza that was as floppy as rubber mat. The grease left on the plate was bad enough.
Saw the first two hours of the series last night. I wanted to throw something at the oh-so-smug school officials who were blocking Jamie's attempts to get the kids to eat fresh foods instead of all the sugary stuff...they were SO concerned about the budget and what is cheap, not what might be better for the kids, help them think better and so on. And that they did not know how to use silverware....OMFG...these kids eat everything with their fingers...when the hell are they going to learn how to eat properly? But by the end Jamie seemed to be making headway, and I hope he succeeds. People need a wake up call in regards to their children's eating habits. My own boss' 3 year old is WAY too hyped up with sugar. Sugary juice, sweets, kool aid, pop from McDonald's, and the grandparents feeding her candy. Sorry to ramble on... glad to see someone else concerned about how we eat!
I am lucky. My daughter loves her veggies. She will eat broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes and other veggies. She would rather have the veggies than a twinkie or a cupcake.
I have lost contact with my best friend. I have spoke to her once since Christmas. I have called her, left her text messages. She has not responded to either of them.
I wonder, has she wrote me off? WTH? I haven't done anything to her.
It would be nice to get a fucking phone call back.
True friend or not is the question?!
I had to give a tour of the water plant I work for today. I am not good at speaking in public let alone a group of college students. I know that they were not really happy about having to be here, so that it made it even worse to give.
But I remembered I was in their shoes not to long ago and tried to liven it up a little.
I only stuttered a few times.
So all together it went pretty well.
I guess I had better get over the fear, because my boss informed me I will be giving more tours. Ugh!!
The crocuses have popped up, I can see little buds of life on the trees. Ah the beauty of spring.
Well the rains have finally stopped. It looks like we will have a few nice days. Maybe I can finally get the yard picked up. Over the winter, a lot of trash has been blown into my yard and my parents. It is amazing how much trash can accumulate in a short period of time. We found a ball that had blown into the yard. My daughter wanted to keep the ball, so I had to take it inside and clean it up. Didn't know where it came from.
Well crap, it looks like the storm is heading my way. Tired of rain. Need to clean up yard.
I watched this new reality show on NBC tonight. It was kinda interesting to watch Sarah Jessica Parker trace her family history. I have been searching mine for over 5 years now. It has been a frustrating journey. I am glad she got some closure on her history.
Well I am getting more involved in my parents business.
I am helping with advertising and marketing.
I am looking into this place called Vista Print for business cards and magnetic labels for vehicles. I hear that you can get 250 business cards free from them. So I figured it would be worth looking into.
I have already checked into having a website built. I have chosen to use Aspire Technology. There ad has been on here. They are very reasonable. I have been very happy with the personable relations with. I don't get stuck talking to a computer when I call them. I get a real live person.

In the four years I have been a mother, I have only gone out with my friends three times. I hate leaving my daughter with my mom and dad to go out with the girls. Considering my mom and dad are my babysitters when I am at work. I work second shift, 3pm to 11pm, and I just don't trust any day cares around here.
I tried one once, and it did not pan out.
Most of them won't take a 3yr old that is not potty trained.
Which is a whole other mystery to me.
I just feel that I am losing myself. Don't get me wrong I love my daughter, she is the light of my life, but mommy needs to interact with some adults.
I had to go buy a new portable DVD player. I have two of them but neither one of them work. They aren't even a year old. One of them was bought in April of 2009 and the other one in June 2009, they are Audiovox. Whenever you put a DVD or a disc in, it reads no disc. So I called the company, and they informed that since they are over 90 days old, even though I have my receipts, it would cost me $85 a piece to have them fixed. I tried to use a laser eye cleaner, which they suggested to use, and it did not work either. So I am basically out $200 on fairly new DVD players.
So I bought an RCA 9" portable DVD player from Wal-mart. It cost me $120, plus I bought the additional 1 year warranty for $10. If this one breaks I will be pissed.
