Being a single parent is hard for anyone!
With the poor economy these days, I am learning to go without a lot things, just so my daughter can have the things she needs.
It is pathetic though, I work my ass off to make sure I have enough, then at the end of the day I still don't have enough.
Several of my friends have asked why I don't ask for assistance from the government. I have to tell them I have asked, but the government tells me I make to much money. What a load of shit!!
It is really pathetic, that the people who try to take care of themselves are denied assistance. And the people who sit on their asses and pop out one kid after another, get the cash load.
My friends have even asked why I don't take my daughter's daddy to court for support. My response, "Why should I put my daughter through the hassle of that, when he wants nothing to do with her?" I can't see dragging him through court, when the person that will be affected the most is my daughter. She is happy and healthy with out. Plain and Simple!
I will do what I have to do to make ends meet!!
I am currently in the process of making homemade candles and bath salts and body scrubs. Going to try to do this as a little business on the side. Need to make some extra cash. I will post some pics and descriptions of what I get finished making. Should have them all done by the this coming weekend. Going to start off small and see how it all goes. If anyone is interested, please let me know.
My little girl started swimming lessons this past Tuesday. She has taken to water like a fish. We bought a pool for our house two summers ago and I thought it would be a good idea if she got some swim lessons from a pro.
She started swimming on her own at the beginning of the summer, but she just can't grasp that she needs to move her arms along with her feet. Granted she is only 3. But I think she is doing great for a little girl.

aside from the kid part, i understand you. the people that are trying to do good are the ones that seem to get screwed when people that sit on their ass with 5 kids get the checks.
