I've been meaning to leave an entry in here for this, but I have only recently returned to VR. I just read a journal to finally push me to create this space for someone I held so near and dear to my heart.

Back in October of 2005, I met one of the most wonderful men to have come into my life. Jared. He was stationed in Washington in the Army. We instantly clicked, and the relationship went from there. I loved him truly with all of my heart and was loved entirely in return. For a long time, we weren't able to see or speak to each other, because more and more training activities came about to prepare him for his deployment. The beginning of April, he was sent to Kuwait to wait a period of time before moving North. He called numerous times, and we relayed emails beack and forth.

On the evening of May 30th, I had a dream that I will never forget. That my love, was in some kind of race with his troop and he fell behind. When I woke up, I knew something bad was going to happen. I sent him the message that he will never read. Because on June 2nd, he lost his life in Iraq, fighting for our country that he loved so much. He was only 21 years old.

William Jared Crouch, my friend, my lover, I will always miss you. You have a large piece of my heart that is dedicated to you forever. There is not a day that goes by that I do not think of you and remember the time we shared.

So, for everyone who is against the war, just remember that there are men and women out there giving their lives for this country that we live in, so, in what ever religion that you may practice, please leave a place for a prayer for everyone currently deployed in the Middle East, they may never return home to their loved ones.

My weekend

So, before the show, we went and shopped on Melrose, found a great store called Shrine....fucking great clothing there. Then a store called Necromance, dead bats, skulls, bones, butterflies in glass casings, beetles and other bugs inside necklaces, bracelets, keychains. I had wanted a necklace of a butterfly wing, it was orange, green, black with golden flecks that made it shimmer....so gorgeous, but $74....eek

Then we found the Armageddon shoe store where I bought me a pair of Demonia 4" platform black patent leather lace up boots, and a 2" platform pair of Demonia black/red maryjanes.

Then, i ate at a sushi place for the first time....I'm not a fan, except for the tempura green tea ice cream...yummy.

Then came Hollywood blvd. I dunno how many Jack Sparrows and Batmans we saw, but there was a lot.

Sunday, my cousin and I went to the mall near my grandparents house, its bee recently added onto since we saw it last....and we ended up getting lost inside it 3 or 4 times. I ended up spending lots of money at Sephora...what can I say? I'm a fan of Urban Decay makeup.

Then there was a nice tea shop, so i bought some Mint Green Tea. Thats about it. Now I'm back home, have a doc appt to have my arm examined, I think I hyperextended my elbow when I fell once in my new boots and put hout my arm to stop me. And my sister and I plan to go costume shopping tomorrow in Old Sacramento. Ya'll have a good nite.

Birthday Massacre

Fucking great concert! Possibly even topping the Manson concert.

This past Saturday night I went down on Hollywood Blvd to the Knitting Factory to see The Borthday Massacre. The opening band NeoSonic or something like that, wasn't all that great, the following band was called The Start, and I liked them a lot. The singer, Aimee, had on the cutest black lace dress. I ended up buying their CD at the merch table as I left.

In between setups there were other bands that played on the other stage.

Birthday Massacre came on, everyone looking super hott. Chibi especially with her pigtails, so adorable. They opened with "VideoKid" and crowd went wild. They cut out quite a bit of the synth, and was much more heavy on the rock guitars/drums. They played a lot from their new album 'Walking With Strangers' but did their encore with "Blue" and "Happy Birthday".

The crowd, worse than the Manson concert. First of all, there was a group of normal guys, who were just there to make fun of people. They kept picking on this one girl wearing small panda bear backpack, they pissed me off all night, I mean, you dont just go to a concert to make fun of everyone who is 'different'. Then, 3 different fights started right next to me. First one was between two guys, second was between the guys' girlfriends, and thats when I was elbowed in the chest. And then one girl in the group got punched right in front of me. Then, some asshole decided to start a fucking mosh pit which just started more fights. At one point I wanted to punch the girl behind me. I understand that its a concert and everyone wants to be up close, but if there is nowhere to go, do not stand where your body is rubbing up against the person in front of you....thats what happened to me, she was invading my personal space, and touching me which I was not happy with. So I pushed her back and told her to back off, it didnt work, so I kept elbowing the bitch in the stomach to get her off of me, eventually she moved.

But, all in all, it was a great show and I'd love to see them again.

SO far this year...

Ok, so, I've started on a quest to attend as many concerts as I can possibly go to from now on. So, I hadnt been to a concert since my freshman year of highschool and that was for the Backstreet Boys (ick!).

So, I heard that AFI was playign near me and I went to that show. It was awesome. not a huge venue as it was in the UC Davis concert hall. Davey Havok was gorgeous, and so was Jade. The show was awesome. My friends and I were right up front.

Then, In July, VnV Nation played at a local venue in Sacramento and that was a good show too. I was disappointed that And One cancelled at the last minute, I was originally going just to see them, but oh well.

Then, in August I went to BatsDay and saw God Module, A Legion Within, Creature Feature, Android Lust, and missed the final two bands, we got too tired. But Android Lust sat at the same dinner table that night. And so was out Prince here on VR. yes, I sat next to Cancer at dinner. lol

As soon as I came home I went to see Marilyn Manson. It was so damn hot outside. And all night long all I heard was 'Fuckin SLAYER!' since they were playing together. Manson was awesome. So damn sexy. He opened with If I was Your Vampire and started humping the stage during Dope Show and had his hands down his pants too. So fucking hott!!! I loved it.

I missed out on a Horrorpops show cuz I had to work, but this weekend I'm gonna see The Birthday Massacre.

One of these days I need to see HIM cuz they are my all time favorite band and yet I still havent seen them play. One day....
