FALLING BACK INTO THE GRIPS.....

I have no objection to rehab or any rehab

facility. But i do have a problem with people trying to control your thoughts against your own will. In my opinion what a rehabilitation center does is, more or less, makes you your own jailer. They make you a prisoner to your mind and give you the key. They make it so you have the option to escape at any moment, but their goal is for you not to want your own freedom.

An ex-addict is the most unstable type of person i have ever met. At least the crazy people are dependent on pills to stay sane. An addict has no scapegoat, no plan B, no immediate chemical treatment. They are living every day of their life with the non-stop thoughts of what not to do, how not to get back into whatever they just got out of. Even an alcoholic clean for ten even twenty years cannot have "just one" drink without relaspe.

There is no difference between an addict, and an ex-addict. addictions never fade. "Ex-addicts" cannot go one day without thinking, fantasising, about their "drug" of choice. They can be changed people leading very "successful lives (even by society's standards)" and still be have constant fantasies of sippin from a bottle or hitting a pilo.

So tell me, is it fair to judge an addict by his or her state of mind? Being an addict can be genetic, it can be enevitable. Addiction can always be treated, or helped a little, but never cured.

Judgment based on addictiveness is the same as judging a person based on their race, sexual preference, or religion.

So think before you call someone a druggie next time, or a drunk. And instead of thinkin bad of them and makin them feel like shit, maybe you can do something or say something that will make them feel good enough to not wanna get high or drunk that night. I dont mean to sound like a hippie, but we have more power as people than you think. We have the power to help so much. And most of us think "what the fuck do i care, i dont know them," or something along those lines.

Just think about it.

Addicts lay in bed at night thinking or maybe not thinking bout why the drink, or shoot up or get high or whatever their prefrence. They just want to get away.

Addiction is not only drink or durgs. People are addicted to all kinds of shit. For example cutting. For some pople that is their drug. Once again people are addicted to lots of things. I have learned from experience that people do anything they can to get away. Binge eat , or throw up everything they have eaten.

After a setrtin point going to your dealer to get crank of going to the corner liquer store to get aochol is not a conscientious choice.

Try and help in some way.

Think next time. Support thouse who need it.
