The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

My speach is intitled the history of vampires.

"It takes us back to primitive times when we worshipped dark gods as well as light gods.And it's a powerful metaphor for the outcast--and monster in all of us." This is a quoet from ann rice, and she very much had the right idea when she said it takes us back to primitve times,for that's when the rumor,legends and myths on vampires began.

so are vampires are they real? Are they fake? Or are they actuly vitoms of desiase

Porphyria is a deaise that could have been the start of of the vampirism myth for the following reasons

Porphyria victims are extraordinarily sensitive to sunlight. even brief exposures can cause severe disfigurement. if exposed to it skin may scar, and gums may become so taut that it could cause teeth to project like fangs

to advoid contact with the sun people suffering from pophyria prefer to come out at night,which could have been the start of the rumor that vampires cant come out at daylight because they would become destoryed by the sun and also the myth about them sleeping in the day and waking at night.

adding to this people suffering from porphyria can be treated with injections of blood products. Centuries ago, thses victims might have sought to treat themselves by drinking blood.Which would be the root of the vampires feeding on blood rumor.Oddly enough there have been cases of porpyria in which a chemical in garlic had caused the porhyria to worsen.

This would most likely be the cause of the vampire legends if it haden't been true that only 200 people have been dignosed with it.

though Xeroderma pigmentosum or XP is a very simulare deaise in which sunlight could be fata.l garlic for other reasons in this deisase can make the vitoms case go from a mild case to a Painful one. Like the vitcoms of porphyria blood in the dark ages may have been used for a cure,tho the body of a human could not take the heme nesseary for the cure directily from the blood making drinking blood useless.But there is still less then 100,000 cases of this deaise.

But those are just 2 deaise that simulate the vampric activity in people.



for the perpose of this speach im going to stay away from the more dark and gory sides to the lengeds but will say that throught out history there have been cases of corpses found drained of there blood and or wite fang marks on there necks which could be a sign that vamprisim did or does exist.This subject dosn't seem to applie to people thously that all im saying on that part of this subject.



Now in modern days there are everything from vampric commuitys,in which people get there teeth caped or filed into fangs and offten go to blood bars.to the religon of vamprism, which has it's own cross called a ank

It is a matter of deffition and opion but the facts are.There are vampirc cummitys.Some people do drink blood.Sun and garlic can harm victoms that suffer from dieases simulare to the charatoristics of a vampire and lastly some people do have fangs,wethr born with them, got them as aside effect of a diease or merrily went to the dentist and got their teeth caped.
