The internet can be a useful device if used right, but in the hands of teems and pre-teens it's often pointless and even dangerous. People say the internet is a great resorce for finding information and can be used as many tools, but given the choice doing research and chatting on msn, few if any would chose to do the research.

There are varius websites on the internet, such as myspace, vampirefreaks, whyville and habo hotel, which incourge complete strangers to chat with eachother. This may seem harmless but can actuly be hardzordist. For example a 12 year old girl may often pose as a 13-15 year old, which is the perfect targe range for older men in there 20-30 to prey opon posing as 15-17 year olds. The child in then a sence of faulse security which can lead them into situation they do not want to be in. These men that pose and younger people are often horrible people with crimanol records, who have the intent on luaring your child into meeting them. Now tell me dose this sound like a "useful tool" you want your child using?

Inclosing I must state that the internet can be a dangerous place for young minds, can lead into awful situations and if used by teens requhoirs vast amounts of guidence and supervison. This does not sound like my defention of a safe, useful tool.

school assignment

“Is watching TV is a waste of time?” Hardly. If I go home today and turn on my tv, I could watch shows on how to design clothing, or computer games. I could learn how things are made, I can even turn to the discovery network and watch a space program. This is educational televison and these’s days televison is full of it.

People are saying TV is waste of time, and is causing children to become over weight. Personally I know that if I was a parent I’d rather have my children spending some time at home watching televison then on the street where they could be involved in gang activity and other troubles as the media points out to be a main problem these days.

Adding to this haven’t I been told at school about a billion time now that I live in Canada, a free country, where every citizen young and old has freedom of choice? And as freedom of choice shouldn’t we be aloud to manage our time as we choose? I think parents and people just want to point blame, if your children are over weight, don’t blame the TV, if you catch your kids swearing, don’t blame your TV. As parents you have no one to blame but yourself because you and there to guide them.
