You say you care,
You say you need,
Upon what’s right,
And inside’s greed,
For only you I open my eyes,
Then all I see are careless lies,
Swimming too fast,
Once in the waves,
Now only coldness is here,
Sinking right past,
Why must you destroy,
All that I employ?
I give out my soul,
I lend you my heart,
My spirit a gift,
Which is now a hole,
Do you not know this pain?
Can you not see your gain?
I hope you soon feel,
What for me will never hide,
And never can I even ask,
What forever will not heal,
How can one act so cruel?
Like there can"t be a single rule,
First you do and then you don’t,
You ask me first then forget,
Or never truly understand,
But this is one I can say I won’t,
To lie is to hurt,
And to hide is like dirt,
I tell you one time then I’m done,
Drive away your bleeding soul,
Never to return to me,
Be gone forever for I have won.
Feel the ocean’s constant roar,
Feel the cool wind blow right past,
See the seagulls fly real high,
See the small fish swim the cave,
Do you hear the calming sea?
Can you touch the solemn air?
Will you forever remember this place?
When will you forget about me?
Your skin wrinkles and your eyes bag,
And your glasses get thicker every year,
Your taste is not so accurate especially when you’re sick,
And though your face is still very sweet it will always sag,
Your life is short as is your hair,
But you never do complain,
Your voice is as mellow as ever,
And happy smiles are what you wear,
You make us all act like a child,
Playful upon each day,
And even after the sun has fallen,
The fun never turns mild,
Summer leaves as spring nears,
And your time is getting more precious,
You start to hug more tightly now,
And we can all feel you fears,
Then suddenly you lay your head,
Nothing that was will ever remain,
Like distant memories are later forgot,
And now you are a silent dead.
Shadows slip through open spaces,
Figures sleep in a peaceful state,
Cutting through those empty faces,
Asking the ones who control your fate,
Bring them here for me to see,
Walk my path through the distant dark,
Open the eyes which hold the key,
Examine the mind to a journey's embark,
You sin only in the eyes of sinners,
And complain only in the ears of grievers,
So seek for your last few dinners,
Then perish among other deceivers,
Why you ask must it come to this?
For fears complete your lingering thought,
Countered by your one last kiss,
Now has come what you have always fought,
The answer however is still very clear,
I have seen through your lies,
So listen close for the end is near,
Put it as one and it all ties,
Your cheats are a crime,
Your laziness has become harm,
Your screams have broken time,
And your weaknesses create alarm,
Depressed though you may be,
No excuses can now be made,
May ashes spread throughout sea,
May your memories now forever fade.
I hear you call young child of rivers,
For what are you afraid of here?
Is it a storm coming near you now?
Or a scream in the arms of grievers?
You may sleep for only a while,
Rest away when it is safe,
Which you may know comes only so little,
Spirits assemble from only a mile,
And though some can be gracious and calm,
Others feed off the fear of a child,
So speak of them not for they might hear,
And show up in the center of your palm,
Even the shadows will tell you sweet boy,
Evil has spread throughout your mind,
Capturing only what you want held,
Choose protection over your joy,
And of course you must remember this,
The darkness hides more than you think,
Which only darkness can ever do,
For it may tell you with a hiss,
Like snakes hiding under your bed,
Controlling your movements without a blink,
And savoring your shivers when you are afraid,
Then devouring your body once you’re dead,
So sleep now and dream you can sore,
You shall not be harmed yet,
Though cold and frightened you are safe,
But for only about a moment more.
We speak as one with an open mind,
Together we sore upon what we find,
And with the touch two can bind,
As forever each other complete entwined,
For now you wonder if anything’s better,
Like rainy days can never get wetter,
Then something within strikes the trust,
And harder becomes controlling lust,
Certain things are opened for just,
And seeking moments turn to dust,
Soon hate springs into place,
Unwilling forgiveness stretching like lace,
Silence now between us two,
Awkwardness is back like déjà vu,
For once this feeling had been new,
When once we did not know what to do,
You knew my name but I not yours,
Though you made silent turn to roars,
But now it is again here,
Fighting back a distant tear,
Though you blame only an older fear,
And not what people may overhear,
And would it be I to say your wrong?
For the thought hasn’t been there long,
Only strangers can have that right,
Breaking through the lonely night,
Seeping out of a pointless fight,
Knowing we will never again ignite,
But I can see how right we are,
As both our hearts are endlessly far,
So good luck to you now,
I give you a final bow,
Better here instead a vow,
So farewell and never ask how.
