No change with Peter except that his infection is clearing up. He is still in denial and not cooperating about plans if he makes it out of the hospital. He said I would rather not to a nursing home or hospice. Then Dave did the tough love and he agreed. Today is family meeting with doctors. I may be the ex but still Matt's mom and don't want him to feel stuck handling everything.
What do you say when your ex is seriously ill in the hospital? We had our bad times. It wasn't all bad. We had a son together. May not have meant to be together forever but there were good times. We are probably one of the few that get divorced but still are family.
We are going to a speakeasy tomorrow. The "time portal " closes at 8:15. They say you can only pay with credit cards at this place. Well, there were no credit cards in the roaring twenties time period. Get with the program when you organize these things. Or someone with take you for a ride and you'll be swimming with the fishies. Getting the lingo right for tomorrow.
I get an allergy shot to "feel better". As I'm walking out of office, I felt like I was sweating. I look at my arm and I'm bleeding. My sleeve was covered with blood. Lovely! WTH! Lucky I didn't pass out.
Hate last minute things. Work is always like that. I get a message from Sam that we need to do a power point for tomorrow to prepare for Aug. presentation. A little notice would be nice. Not the day before. I have to fix the projects now. Some of them got messed up bringing them home. Some are missing eyes and feet. So disorganized! Not me , THEM.
Looking forward to Saturday. Going to a Speakeasy. That was a Roaring Twenties bar. We get to dress up with boas and flapper dress. The hubby has his gangster look and maybe a guitar case for his "heaters". That's guns in gangster talk.Have to pick up my head band and arm bands for Dave. Should be fun. I love dress up. Next party we have is going to be old 50's sitcon TV shows.
