I wrote this a few years ago while sitting at school, to this day I still don't know what inspired it. I wasn't really in a good mood that day even and yet this is what came from the end of my pen. Ehh... *shrugs shoulders*

The cat and the dog float out of sight on the river

Look and don’t be fooled by the eye’s slick tricks

See through it all and see what is the true truth

See that they are floating away on the river Styx



Our weaknesses sneak in and steal away our hearts

They take us by the hand and lead us to our pain

Lies and deceptions that we tell to fool ourselves

Foolish attempts at a false happiness all in vain



We’re living in a reality we can’t afford to keep

Hiding from the truth of our sins in a fantasy

The world falls and crumbles from our denial

The souls of Men slowly fade away in ignominy



Hold up

Give up

Walk away from unreal

Wake up

Stand up

Reclaim what we are
