Sleeping means waking tomorrow

A cruel cycle of agony and relief

I don't want to face another day

I don't want to feel anymore

I was once a broken man

Beaten down and overwhelmed

An unbearable weight upon me

Then I stood up

A phoenix from the ashes of despair

Blazing to burn it all away

Soon, I will be flying

I'll ignite the world

Tear it all apart

Bit by bit

The shell cracked

It fell to the floor

So much scattered dust

The beast within smiled

Everything is good, so good

And I am finally awake

I LOVE this! When I read it, I clearly hear your voice more than in anything else you have written recently. This is descriptive and strong. It has energy...just wonderful.
