Sometimes life is hard and it can be a struggle just to exist

Moving forward can be like trudging through waste deep river mud

I know there's only one way I'll ever get anywhere

I take another step

Sometimes it just doesn't seem like it's worth it to keep going

The weight on my shoulders seems to get heavier and heavier

There just doesn't seem to be any change in near sight

Sometimes I stumble and others I may fall flat on my face

I get back up and continue this unending march

Even if there is no end I have to see that fact for myself

Sometimes people want to admire my determination and call it bravery

There are times I have that fiery spirit to drive me forward

With will and a stubborn mind I grit my teeth and bare it

Sometimes I just don't have what it takes to bring my foot forward

I feel like lying down on the wayside so I can forget it all

The only reason I continue on is because I don't know how to give up

I felt like I had to write tonight, so I did. Then I got antsy and wanted to read verse from others, so I popped in here. Looks like we were on the same wavelength.
