I find it interesting that i have been hearing a lot about Jung's theories lately, I have barely ever heard the name. Yet, I've been seeing it and comments on his theories quite a bit these past two days.
At the point I am writing this, the last person to look at my journal is no longer a Vampire Rave member. I wonder, did I scare them off? I'm not trying to be mean, but that would be hilarious.
In Iowa you have to be 18 to buy tobacco and 21 to buy alcohol or lottery tickets, I am only 19. When I was 16 I was always told by people that they thought I was about 19, they said I acted "too mature" for my age. So one day I decided to see if they were just overexaggerating their compliments or if this was true, I went to a store where they didn't know me and walked up with a soda. When I got to the cashier I started a conversation, after a bit I asked for a pack of cigarettes and the cashier sold them to me without checking I.D. Now people constantly tell me that they think I'm in my mid-twenties, I've even had them call me a liar when I've said I'm only 19. I decided to test this as well. Ya know what? The cashier didn't i.d. me for the lottery tickets I bought tonight, and now I'm tempted to see if I could get away with buying some Jack Daniels. I'm not certain though, they tend to be a little more careful about alcohol than lottery tickets. Now the temptation is there...
I have often wondered what it would be like to be a king, to rule my own country. I know I'm a leader, people tend to follow me with out me trying to get them to. From time to time I feel the urge to put such skills to use, once in a while I imagine myself leading a revolt against modern society. I have to admit that I wouldn't mind seeing todays civilization crumble and revert to what it once was. hhhhh, it is only a fantasy though. I highly doubt that i ever would do that, I'm not even sure that I would be able to take it that far. Who knows...
For anyone who reads this: I mean no disrespect to you if you are christian or believe in the bible. This is simply how I view this subject. If you are a christan and are easily offended by negative opinions about your religion then DO NOT READ THIS!
I do not believe in the bible but this was brought up in a thread today. The bible teaches that the second coming of christ would herald the comiong of the end. Many christian religions teach that we are in those days. I find there to be one fundamental problem here, the bible says that the second coming of christ would be known to his "true" followers and I have yet to meet ONE person who truly followed the teachings of christ. If there is no "true" follower of christ who would he reveal himself too, who would recieve the benefits of the coming end if noone is serving him? If what the bible teaches is true then noone on earth today would be spared, but the bible teaches that there will be some who are deserving? Hmmm, sounds like a contradiction.
