My body fears death but I don't. The thing is, the body has a natural instinctual fear of death in order to coerce you into self-perservation. So even if on an intellectual or spiritual level you have lost your fear of death your instincts haven't. I don't fear death because I don't see a reason to, it's nothing more than tomorrow if you understand my meaning. I still have a fear of heights though, it's not an active fear but something instinctual triggered by my body's desire not to die after falling from them. Don't get me wrong on this, I'm not in anyway implying that I want to die, I'd rather keep living if I can. I simply am not afraid of the fact that I may not wake up tomorrow or that I may wake up in the after life, depending on how things go when I die.
I now have whole cloves, cinnamon chips, mugwort, sweet grass, frankincense, sage, rosewood oil, and peppermint. The peppermint is FRESH too, the guy told me it had finished drying this morning and bagged before the store was opened. I got the frankincense to act as a resin. I was talking to one of the clerks about it because all they had were benzoin resin and amber resin and neither were quite what I was looking for, he told me that he'd been using frankincense as his resin so I thought I'd try it. We'll see how it goes. I'm looking forward to working on this!
Angel's Smoke Incense
50 g benzoin resin
30 g white sandalwood
8 g cloves
2 or 3 pieces of orris root
2 nutmegs
A small amount of fresh lemon rind
A splash of rose water
Grind the nutmegs, cloves, orris root, and sandalwood. Crush the benzoin and storax resins with a mortar and pestle. Thoroughly mix these ingredients together. Grate fresh lemon rind over the mixture, splash with rose water, and knead to blend. Place the incense on the smoking coal in small portions.

This incense can be used for any winter rite. You can also smudge the house with it, but traditionally only during the period from November 1 to March 21st.
Holy Nights Incense

Ground fir resin
Whole juniper berries
Chopped mugwort herb or stripped flowers
Chopped sweetgrass
Mix all ingredients together. Place incense by teaspoonfuls on the glowing coal.
Since I have my paycheck I'm going to head to Next Millenium again today and pick up the rest of the things I need. I'm feeling very excited.
I am feelin' pretty good right now. I got a couple things at Next Millenium while I was there and it made me happier than I thought it would. I bought a mortar and pestle as well as some whole cloves. I want to get some more. I've decided to start practicing some herb craft. This is something new for me, I've practiced stone craft before and I do some meditation but that's it. I'm a little excited. That's probably lame but oh well.
I've started considering doing something I've wanted to for a long while but have never had the time nor the space (not to mention money) to do: I'm thinking about setting up an altar. I've wanted to for quite some time but it's never been reasonable. It may take me some time to get everything I want and need for it but I've decided to do it. It'll give me a project to work on and once it's done it'll be nice to have.
