This is something that really irritates me while simultaneously amusing me.
Many (enough to call it a majority but not all) Christians, of one flavor or another, I come across will try to question my beliefs and convince me of how wrong they are. If I question their beliefs they become defensive, angry, and argumentative. If I question their beliefs and use evidence to support what I say the conversation suddenly switches to something else and they act as if it never started. That or they fall back on, "Well the Bible says this..." Denial much? If you can't stand firm, on your own, when someone questions you than you don't have near as much trust in your beliefs as you claim.
What annoys me most is that they can't accept or admit that there's a chance they're wrong or that someone else is right. I'm at least willing to admit there's a possibility that they're right, I just don't believe that only they are or can be. Having devout faith without doubt is alright but don't take it to the extreme. There really is no undeniable evidence that you are right, just as there is none that you are wrong. Accept it.
How to induce what I call a semi-trance:
This works best in a dark room.
Load a song with a heavy beat on your media player
Switch to a visualization that has a tunnel appearance.
Go to full screen
Focus your hearing on the beat and your sight at the center of the screen and slowly start fading out you peripheral vision until the screen is the only thing in focus. Blink as little as possible.
After you do this for a while your perception should change. You should hear sounds you normally wouldn't, things will look much different, etc... If you're somebody who deals with energy manipulation the flow of energy should take on a more physical tactile sensation.
Keep in mind that as with any method this one is not guaranteed to work with every person.
