The frightening look on your face,
The tightening of your fingers small embrace.
I can't move a muscle; I can't make a sound,
Because you have me so exquisitely bound.
The sweat on my brow and the shreds of my clothes,
Nothings clear now and I can't feel my toes.
The words from your mouth and the tear on your cheek,
My hearts racing fast but I’m feeling quite weak.
The dream worlds set in now and the image so clear,
You’re doing this quietly so no one will hear.
Now I lay before you so quiet so still,
If you can't have me then no one else will.
You’re finished now, the air thick and sweet,
As you silently cover my body with a sheet.
You sit at the foot of my bed and you cry,
Leaving me lifeless no chance to ask why.
As I sit up straight the blood rushes to my head,
And I realize that you are lying next to me in bed.
So sometimes life isn't as bad as it may seem,
You could be stuck having my reoccurring dream.
