One night, a few years after their return to Destiny Islands, Riku was walking down to his spot. When he got there he leaned against the miss-shaped tree he usually sat on, letting his silvery-blue hair blow back in the nights cool air. Everything was silent except for the crashing of the waves against the shore and his little island retreat. He thought to himself 'It's so peaceful here on the islands, its as thought nothing ever happened...' but he knew full well what had happened in the 2-3 years they spent away from the islands. Just then he saw a person climb up the ladder from the ocean to his little retreat and collapse. "W-who are you? Are you okay?" he shouted as he ran towards the man. When he turned the man over he saw a red, spiky-haired man, dressed in along black robe with chains around the bottom of the hood. The man opened his eyes and said "H-hello Riku. L-long time-no-see. H-help me please, H-E-L-P-M-E-P-L-E-A-S-E, Got it memorized?” he asked as her passed out. So without hesitation Riku carried him back to the gangs old tree house.

“Do what you feel you have to Kairi. I can’t fight you” he said as he stood up facing her neck, he would have been a few inches taller than her if she hadn’t been floating a few inches off the ground. Then a black, shadow substance came around his hands and feet and they to disappeared into the darkness. By the time Riku and Axel arrived the substance had eaten half of his arms and legs away, in the time that he was alone with her he finally confessed his love for her and part of the real Kairi showed as she had a few small tears run down her cheek. “Kairi what are you doing?” Riku shouted, as soon as he and Axel entered the room Kairi sent a huge gust of wind around that circled the room constantly, everything was getting blown away except for her, Sora, Riku and Axel. She put a protective bubble around herself and Sora. “Riku, look after her and keep her safe” Sora said as he managed to turn his head and what was left of his body towards Riku and Axel “And, don’t worry about me. I have two halves, remember?” and with that he turned back towards Kairi. “We won’t just leave you!” Riku shouted over the wind and the sound of their clothes flapping loudly in the wind.





The veins in Kairi’s forehead started to show and her eyes turned black. Sora turned back to face her, then Riku once more and flashed his famous goofy grin as he became completely engulfed within the darkness that had been eating away at his body. Sora, the Keyblade bearer, had been killed by the girl he loved since they were kids…
