Tanya,
I'm so sorry. Please call me if there's anything I can
do to help you. And I'm so sorry for her son. He
probably won't even remember her. Is there another
parent he's living with?
I'm glad this has made you think about things. It
sounds like you've made a renewed commitmet to staying
alive, and solving your problems as they arise- and
also to helping people, and living a happy and
productive life. It makes me happy to read your
letter, just becasue it confirms changes I've seen in
you over the years, ways you've grown into such a
strong, thoughtful, appreciative, and caring adult.
Also, never worry about me that way. I'm a different
person than I was when we met. There is too much
happiness and goodness and love in life- in being
alive. In the middle of feeling suicidal, though, you
can hardly see any of that- of how magical and good
life really is, however awful the situations are that
arise. People are good, sometimes selfish or stupid or
sick, but underneath everything, I really believe
every living thing is good.
I hope you know that you have the support you need to
get through this now. I'm here for you absolutely- I
think that goes without saying at this point, and
there are so many people who love you. I hope you
feel everyone's love and support, because knowing you,
I know that you have it. Please don't hesitate to call
me with anything,
Love,
Claire
